Emergency Preparedness

On May 16, a destructive tornado tore through more than 12 miles of the greater urban St. Louis area, impacting many families and communities connected to the LEITH Lab. In response to this public emergency, the LEITH Lab, alongside our sister lab, The Black Genome Project, mobilized quickly to provide support to people living with ALS and their caregivers who were affected by the disaster.
During this time, the LEITH Lab also began developing an emergency preparedness support document specifically centered on the needs of people living with ALS and their caregivers, aiming to strengthen community resilience in the face of future crises.
